The challenge
One of our recent robots required the ability to move game pieces vertically across various scoring heights.
Our approach
Our solution was a custom elevator mechanism designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested by Team 867 students. Considerations: structural rigidity, motor selection, gear ratios, weight, stability, packaging, & software control.
Projects like this allow members to see how mechanical, electrical, software, and CAD decisions directly support each other.
